Fusion Offers Special "Welcome Pack" Service for MYLINE Registration Customers
Flat 10 yen per 3 Minutes for In-Prefecture Long-Distance Calls

Fusion Communications Corporation submitted notice to the Minister of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications concerning the provision of its new "Welcome Pack" service.

Last April 1, Fusion overturned common practice concerning telephone charges with the launch of its long distance service for a 24-hour, flat rate of 20 yen per 3 minutes nationwide regardless of the time of day or distance. This service is now approaching its first full year of operation.

Fusion has received even greater than expected customer support for its low-cost, easy-to-understand long-distance service and now boasts 1.15 million subscriber lines (as of March 11, 2002). In addition, 721,000 subscriber lines had selected Fusion for out-of-prefecture long-distance calls as part of the MYLINE service as of the end of February.

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the launch of this service, Fusion will launch on April 1 a new service called "Welcome Pack" for all customers registered for the MYLINE service to further lower charges and promote usage by customers.

This service offers to customers that have selected Fusion for their out-of-prefecture long-distance carrier under the MYLINE service (MYLINE or MYLINE PLUS) a flat rate of 10 yen per 3 minutes for in-prefecture long-distance calls regardless of the distance--half the rate for standard rate.

With the introduction of this new service, Fusion can offer low-cost in-prefecture long-distance calls with even greater advantages to those customers that currently use Fusion for their out-of-prefecture long-distance calls, thereby enabling customers to use Fusion for both in-prefecture and out-of-prefecture long distance calls.
