Fusion Communications Corporation and Tamura Electric Works Limited have formed an alliance in the field
of hardware devices for Fusion's IP subscriber telephone service "FUSION IP-Phone" and will release the
FUSION IP-Phone-compatible "GW200" IP phone adapter on April 8, 2003.
The Fusion Service Partner Alliance is a policy that Fusion has adopted to expand the IP telephone market
based on an "open ISP" and "open vendor" approach. The new GW200 IP phone adapter is a low-priced, high-capacity
unit aimed at growing market for corporate IP telephone terminals and expanding services in this area
based on the open vendorEapproach. The GW200 is designed specifically for Tamura Electric's MT-100sx
and MT-200sx PBX devices, confirmed to function with the FUSION IP-Phone network.
Tamura Business Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tamura Electric Works, will sell the
adapter in conjunction with the business phones. This product, in combination with FUSION IP-Phone, will
offer an efficient network solution for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Tamura Electric plans to develop and bring to market even more handy devices, including adapters and
IP phone sets, that are compatible with FUSION IP-Phone, and through this alliance the two firms aim
to work together to expand FUSION IP-Phone services in the corporate environment.
