Fusion Communications Corporation provides a telephone service that allows calls to be made from dedicated-line
ISDN and dedicated-line IP telephones to mobile phones in Japan through its international relay system (*1).
Using the price-setting rights recently acquired by dedicated-line service carriers, Fusion will begin providing
this service directly through interconnections with mobile phone operator exchanges in Japan (*2) at a lower
rate than through its international relay system. Charges for the phone service, which starts on December 15,
will be 18 yen per minute.
When using Fusion's international relay system, it is necessary to dial a mobile phone number by making an
international call, but with the start of the new service, customers using dedicated-line ISDN and dedicated-line
IP telephones can dial directly, starting with the 090 (or 080) prefix of the mobile phone number in Japan.
