Teams Up With Image Partner and Tokyo Electron Device in VoIP
Applications
Software Tie-up Helps to Facilitate the Development of VoIP Applications
Fusion
Communications Corporation has established tie-ups with Image
Partner Inc. and Tokyo Electron Device Ltd. in the field of
Voice over IP (VoIP) applications and has confirmed the
connectivity to Fusion's IP telephone network of Intel®
NetStructure™ Host Media Processing (HMP) software and
Image Partner's iPartSIP software for the control of VoIP
calls.
The
Fusion Service Partner Alliance is a policy that Fusion has
adopted to expand the IP telephone market based on an
"open ISP" and "open vendor" approach, and
the current tie-up is an active cooperative arrangement aimed
at developing new applications to expand IP telephony
services.
The
NetStructure Host Media Processing software runs on servers
that use Intel processors, and makes it possible to flexibly
provide low-cost calls and advanced voice solutions. Use of
the software lets enterprises build IP media servers with
great flexibility and at low cost to provide two-way voice
communication services, voice mail, conference services, a fax
server, and functions provided by other telephony
applications.
Image
Partner's iPartSIP is a software stack compatible with the SIP
(Session Initiation Protocol) standard for voice control over
IP telephone networks. The combination of this software with
NetStructure HMP makes it easy to develop different kinds of
VoIP applications using the voice solutions provided by
NetStructure HMP without the need to verify connectivity when
developing each application.
Connectivity
verification for the NetStructure HMP software and iPartSIP
software was carried out by Tokyo Electron Device in
cooperation with Fusion. Tokyo Electron Device is in charge of
sales and support as a distributor for both products, and
helps Fusion application partners to develop various VoIP
telephony applications rapidly and at low cost.
Through
future partnerships with VoIP application developers, Fusion
plans to move ahead with the development of new applications
to expand the use of IP telephony among corporate users.
