On February 1, Fusion Communications Corporation will add FUSION IP-Phone capability to its FUSION Free Voice toll-free service lines, where the call recipient pays the call charges.

Up to this point, FUSION Free Voice has been used for toll-free service lines that accept calls from fixed-line telephones. FUSION IP-Phone can now be used on these lines.

The ability to use FUSION IP-Phone on a toll-free service line reduces the cost of call charges accepted through the toll-free service, and also allows calls to be initiated through the IP phone system, with its low call charges, for calling back the customer who has made an inquiry or contacting customers for other reasons. This greatly reduces the costs involved in providing a toll-free service.

In addition, FUSION Free Voice is compatible with number portability, so customers who are currently using a "0120" or "0800" toll-free number will be able to use this service without changing the number. (Note: FUSION Free Voice Lite is not compatible with number portability.)
