Fusion Begins Mobile Choice "050" Service
Offers Separate Billing of Business/Private Calls and Outgoing Business Number Notification on Mobile Phone

Fusion Communications Corporation will begin offering Mobile Choice "050", a new service that enables separate billing for business and private phone calls made on the same mobile phone, as well as outgoing notification of a business number, starting on April 1, 2006.

Mobile Choice "050" is a FUSION IP-Phone additional service made possible through the use of call-forwarding. When both the FUSION IP-Phone 050 number and the mobile phone number to which it will be assigned are pre-registered, calls made from the mobile phone to which "0037-67" is dialed ahead of the destination number are billed to the company and the call recipient will see the FUSION IP-Phone number (050 number) on Caller ID as the originating number.

Fusion already provides the "Mobile Choice" service, which makes possible separate billing for business calls on a privately owned mobile phone. This service became popular for vastly reducing mobile phone-related costs for the enterprise, but at the same time met resistance because it gave out employees' private numbers to recipients of their business calls.

The new Mobile Choice "050" service not only offers separate billing of business and private phone calls, but is groundbreaking because it also sends the IP phone (050) number when business calls are made. The service can be applied to corporate mobile phones or to PHS phones, and can also be used by individual employees regardless of their telecommunications carrier or terminal.

Since separate numbers can be used on a single mobile phone depending on whether a call is a business or personal call, mobile phones do not need to be owned by the company and lent employees. Hence, the company does not need to pay monthly charges for mobile phones, and the employee does not need to carry two mobile phones, one for personal use and one for business use. Or, if employees use and pay for their own mobile phone use, complicated calculations to separate business and private call charges are no longer necessary, either.

Plus, as early as July of this year, additional functions will be added, such as the ability to set an upper limit on the amount used, or limits on usage by time of day (preventing use outside of business hours, e.g.). These additional functions will make management of mobile phone usage even easier for the enterprise.

In these ways, use of the Mobile Choice "050" service eliminates previous issues related to the business use of mobile phones, greatly reduces associated costs, and helps promote business efficiency.

If an IP phone system is introduced in the office and 050 numbers are used as individually allocated business numbers, then when a person is in the office, a fixed-line telephone can be used. When out of the office calls can be forwarded to the individual's privately owned mobile phone or automatically forwarded to Skype, in both ways also making it possible to receive calls on the 050 number when out of the office. In addition, when making an outgoing call from a mobile phone or Skype, the user's 050 number will be displayed as the originating number, so a person can handle all phone communications with another party using a single 050 number. The use of an 050 number as one's dedicated business number can thus offer improved convenience.

Fusion is promoting the use of "personal 050 numbers" in the enterprise. This is a new concept in IP phone solutions that takes advantage of the features of IP phone service that uses an 050 number to offer location-independent mobility as a highly convenient voice communications tool adaptable to the individual's personal business style.
