Fusion Provides Phone Number Auto-Identification Plugin for
Fusion IP-Phone "Click Call" Service
- Phone Numbers on Web Page Identified Automatically for Easy Dialing with a Click -

Fusion Communications Corporation provides "Click Call," a service that simplifies the process of initiating phone calls through FUSION IP-Phone using a computer, and has just added convenience to the service by developing a plugin for Click Call that automatically identifies phone numbers. The plugin will become available on June 1.

By installing this plugin together with the Click Call client, phone numbers listed on HTTP-based Web pages, including groupware telephone directory pages, are automatically identified and marked. Click Call is activated simply by clicking on the marked phone number and the call is initiated through FUSION IP-Phone.

Click Call takes advantage of IP phone technology, which enables the linkage of telephone and computer functions. This plugin software makes the use of Click Call more convenient. For example, to initial a call to a number not registered in one's Click Call telephone directory, such as a client or restaurant, requires only clicking on the phone number that is listed on a Web page or information page. This saves the trouble of dialing phone numbers manually, and also makes it easy to register the number in one's Click Call telephone directory from the outgoing call history.

Fusion is promoting the use of "personal 050 numbers" in the enterprise. The company plans to expand the features enabled by IP phone technology to further improve the convenience of voice communications in the enterprise.
