Fusion Begins "SkypeTM on Fusion" Service

Fusion Communications Corporation has tied up with Welltone Co. to offer SkypeTM on Fusion, a service that links SkypeTM with FUSION IP-Phone, beginning on January 15, 2007.
In September 2006 Fusion began offering Multi-Gateway for Skype, a service for forwarding calls from an IP telephone (050 number) to SkypeTM when the calls originate from the public telephone network.
At this time, Fusion will begin to offer its FUSION IP-Phone for Skype service, which routes calls made from SkypeTM through FUSION IP-Phone for reception on the public telephone network. This service completes "SkypeTM on Fusion", which links Skype and the public telephone network bidirectionally using 050 numbers.
Welltone manufactures many SkypeTM -related products. In cooperation with Fusion, Welltone will now sell a starter kit that includes a handset and 3,000 yen in free calls, compatible with SkypeTM on Fusion. Welltone will also continue to supply SkypeTM -compatible products to the marketplace, mainly through OEM channels.

Fusion aims to utilize the mobility features of its 050-number-based IP telephone system as a convenient voice communications tool adaptable to individual lifestyles. Fusion is designing IP phone solutions based on this new concept.
